Jumia Tech Week Campaign Starts Today, Here’s What To Expect
Jumia Kenya has announced the launch of this year’s Jumia Tech Week campaign. The campaign kicks of today, 16th March and will run until 27th March with customers visiting the platform securing deals on phones, computing televisions, games and consoles, cameras and other accessories.
The campaign is running under the theme: Upgrade Your Life. There will be deals of up to 50% off on over 8 million products in partnership with Samsung, Xiaomi and Tornado among others.
“It is estimated that Kenya had 13 million active internet users in 2018. Major campaigns on Jumia like Black Friday and Tech Week are widely seen to help digitize the economy – providing a reason for customers to log on & save time and money,” says Jumia Kenya CEO, Sam Chappatte.
“Our customers asked us for deals beyond mobile phones and we decided to change our annual Mobile Week Campaign to Tech Week Campaign to incorporate other products”, said Chappatte, adding that “the biggest deals will be exclusive to the Jumia App.”
Jumia is urging Customers to download the Jumia App to benefit from the best deals over the campaign.
It is important to note that Jumia’s sales originating from the App has continued to grow – reaching 60% vs 40% those on the browser.
As we mentioned the Jumia Tech Week will run from the 16th to 27th of March. This means you have an entire week to grab the best deals on your favorite electronic products. To do this makes sure you download the Jumia App to access the best app-only deals. Those paying with Mastercard will also be getting a 10% every day from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Jumia will also be running flash sales on its website daily at 9:00 am and 12 pm. Here you can enjoy up to 50% off. You can also spin the wheel and win vouchers on the Jumia App.
Customers also stand a chance to win Ksh 25,000 on Jumia App on Friday 20th and 27th and will also enjoy free pick up in Nairobi on small and medium items on Jumia Express.’
