Tusker Oktobafest heads to Nairobi after Nanyuki, Eldoret

Kenya Breweries Limited’s (KBL) Tusker Oktobafest is heading to Nairobi this weekend after taking its beer and music festival to Nanyuki and Eldoret.
The two towns hosted simultaneous editions of the festival on Friday, October 16, as the brewer pushes the event beyond major cities.
In Nanyuki, R&B singer Otile Brown and Jay Soul headlined at Zero Percent Lounge, backed by DJ Unclemesh and DJ Evian, with MC Ted hosting.
In Eldoret, Tanzanian Bongo Flava star Aslay headlined at Tamasha Sports Bar and Grill, alongside DJ Gibbz the Daqchild and MC Mido.
Revellers at both venues were treated to discounted beers and local food from vendors.
“The incredible performances and strong turnout in Eldoret and Nanyuki reflected the vibrant energy for celebrating with beer,” said Rediet Yigezu, marketing manager for Tusker.
“These experiences demonstrate the value of bringing Oktobafest closer to our consumers and creating celebrations that reflect what makes each region unique,” she said.
The festival was scheduled to stop at Al Capone in Nyali, Mombasa, on October 19, and at Laikipia Barracks on October 21.
It wraps up with a three-day finale at Covo, Kahawa Sukari, in Nairobi from October 23 to 25.
Alongside the events, KBL is running flash sales and discounts on its lagers, stouts, ciders and malts at supermarkets and selected e-commerce platforms.
Oktobafest, modelled on Germany’s Oktoberfest, has become one of KBL’s biggest annual consumer campaigns, as the East African Breweries subsidiary competes for drinkers in an increasingly price-sensitive beer market.
